Jill Baboulis is a teaching artist who has designed and painted for numerous theatrical
productions in the Bethlehem School District, Park Playhouse, and the Academy of
Holy Names. After obtaining her master’s degree in social work, Jill returned to
her Alma Mater, UAlbany, in 2004 to study scene design and painting with Ruben Arana-Downs.
Jill was a 2007 recipient of the Award for Meritorious Achievement in Set Design
from The Theatre Association of New York State. She has taught programs in the
arts for the Albany JCC, Park Playhouse Kids and Cap Rep’s Starlite camp. Her 10
years of experience working with students with disabilities in the Bethlehem Scholl
District inspired her to pilot a special section of Everyday Art called “True Colors”
in the summer of 2012.
After extending the summer art camp to an after school program in Fall 2012, Jill
also became part of the Park Playhouse Touring Academy. The Touring Academy brings
children’s literature-based musicals to area elementary schools.
